About Me
I work at the intersection of technology, program execution, documentation engineering, and process improvement. I am especially effective when the work is complex: understanding how a system operates, bringing structure to competing priorities, coordinating across teams, improving workflows, and getting important work completed accurately and on schedule.
Most recently at NVIDIA, I have worked directly in engineering workflows supporting AI retrieval technologies. My work spans release readiness, documentation QA, GitHub-based development, CI/build and publishing automation, information architecture, and developer experience, including more than 200 public pull requests to NVIDIA’s NeMo Retriever repository.
My broader background includes technical program management and developer relations, API product and platform work, release management, documentation governance, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders. I bring the communication discipline of a senior documentation professional to program and operations work where execution, traceability, quality, and follow-through matter.
I hold an MBA from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business and have completed the Google Project Management Certificate. I am interested in program and operations management, process improvement, technical program management, developer experience, and documentation engineering roles where I can bring structure to complex work and help teams deliver.
I am currently based in San Jose, CA.
Projects
Open-Source Documentation Engineering
My GitHub work shows documentation engineering inside real software repositories: technical investigation, docs-as-code, pull-request review, release readiness, CI/publishing, and changes that ship with the product.
NVIDIA NeMo Retriever — 200+ public pull requests
During my NVIDIA assignment, I have submitted more than 200 public pull requests under my NVIDIA work GitHub identity, kheiss-uwzoo, to the NVIDIA NeMo Retriever repository. The work spans developer documentation, API and CLI accuracy, Helm/Kubernetes deployment guidance, release engineering, documentation QA, information architecture, documentation automation, and documentation CI/CD.
Documentation CI/CD & publishing
I created and implemented automated documentation build and publishing workflows for NeMo Retriever so repository changes could automatically build GitHub Pages and publish versioned documentation to docs.nvidia.com. I also worked on nightly/manual release publishing, release-aware build paths, production publishing safeguards, rollback procedures, and CDN/cache handling. This moved documentation publishing beyond a primarily manual writer workflow and treated the docs site as an engineered delivery system.
Representative public PRs include automating docs.nvidia.com publishing and enabling public-doc features, nightly/manual 26.05 publishing, restoring GitHub Pages deployment, production 26.08 publishing, and publishing rollback and safeguards.
Selected additional contributions:
- Composition-time agent guidance (AGENTS.md) — added repository guidance so compatible coding agents recognize user-visible changes and draft or update documentation during development.
- Documentation-stays-current review rule — added an automated review rule to flag concrete documentation drift when APIs, CLI behavior, configuration, examples, or other user-facing surfaces change.
- 26.08 release notes — reconciled customer-facing release notes against source, Helm configuration, and post-26.05 product changes.
- Helm GPU scheduling guidance — clarified GPU-resource behavior and documented production deployment implications for the default Helm topology.
- NVIDIA template-aligned information architecture — restructured documentation navigation and information architecture around NVIDIA content patterns.
- 26.08.2 Helm patch notes — maintained release-specific documentation and source-link accuracy for a patch train.
These PRs show the working process behind the finished documentation: identify a product or documentation gap, verify behavior against source and configuration, propose a scoped change, respond to engineering review, validate the result, and merge it into the public NVIDIA repository.
My personal GitHub profile also includes this site’s Jekyll/GitHub Pages source, a REST API testing workspace, and Python coursework projects.
